I can tell you some things about my life: I'm a spouse, mother and step-mother. I'm equally at home in a business suit or blue jeans. I've had a variety of job titles--non-profit work, public relations/marketing, retail sales, executive recruiting, stockbrokering, manufacturing and my own businesses. I love pets and animals. I enjoy all kinds (well, almost) of music, artistic endeavors, and stimulating conversation. I'm practicing yoga. I'm an avid reader of non-fiction. I'm interested in the occult and spiritual side of things and I question a lot. How did you become a coach? Well, truthfully, I've always been a coach. People have always gravitated to me to talk about their lives and dreams. My first coaching job was helping pregnant women quite smoking. I loved the women and I found I was very good at assisting them in achieving their goals. Since then, I've worked with people making career changes, relocating, starting businesses and learning to value and live their dreams and create peace in their lives. I'm very committed to helping clients handle difficult conversations and develop strong communication skills. What is the best thing about coaching? For me, it's the privilege of partnering with people who are so intent upon achieving their goals that the two of us form a dynamic transformational team. Sometimes I think I get more joy out of other's successes than they do! Watching my clients blast through obstacles (usually self-imposed blind spots) to create magnificent lives is an inspiration. For example, one of my first clients was a teenaged girl who had been through some truly horrifying stuff in her life. She developed a life plan to not only end some bad habits but complete her education and get her life on track. And she put that plan into action! I felt honored to know her because she was filled with so much hope and courage. |
